And I am sorry but Patterson was part of a team keeping clean sheets and allowed OBrien to play his natural position. And do I need to mention Coleman. Old. But a safe option. Two safe options over disruption

@S____Mitchell @jim_keoghan @LeeFMc83 Because the CM is a better RB than the two RBs, makes lots of sense. He can't play 15, I think Rohl been harshly treated after being excellent at Villa but Dibling showed nothing to warrant a run of games.

Branthwaite is by some distance Everton’s best centre half I can’t think of many other sides who would take their best central defender and stick him at full back

That bar Dibling because he simply hasn’t been given the chance; have come in and shown more than playing best CB at LB. Putting best midfielder at RB. Whilst having two right backs on bench! Make it make sense

@jim_keoghan I am beyond fume with the monotony and repeated square blocks in round holes mentality. I just want him gone. Thanks for the stability. But he cannot be taken seriously any longer based on his tactics and selections. There are players benched that are more natural and perform.

@ASeymour1878 @Benjwinst The improvement is there to see in league positions. But. And it is a big BUT his inability to even select a functioning team with players in the right position. Faves. Keane. IGG playing regardless of form. The team looked better. Played better when it was Afcon and bare bones.

@Benjwinst Not a difficult decision at all. If we want to progress we need to stop being so reactionary and give the good manager we have got time. We have already improved under him in 12 months, why can he improve us further if given the summer?

Difficult decision to be made in summer regarding giving a manager with 12 months left on his deal more money to invest, attacking numbers are so bad, we don’t score we don’t create and ultimately for me we have a better squad than previous years. Frustrating that last night.

@PED7 True of course. But there were two rbs on the bench and a young who has shown something in a brief appearance. No where near squad. Playing the best CB there instead is simply not good enough. His persistence in playing favourites and players out of position has to stop!

Garner and Branthwaite are sound at full-back but they’d have far greater influence in their normal positions. All stats point to the team functioning much better with Patterson at right-back and by playing him you’re helping the entire team cos it flows much better.

@jim_keoghan I think I have got to the stage where I want him gone! This is predictably wrong. And his comments about the AfCon players getting up to speed! Why select IGG if he is not up to speed?

So we’ll get to watch Cunha rinse Coleman for about 7 mins before his hamstring implodes

Three managers gone at Forest & we are not mid February. Now the owner looks at a manager who managed to get 2 points out of a possible 30 this season with bottom club Wolves

@LivEchoEFC Maybe he should take action of the things he can control. Like making the team function with players playing in their natural positions and stopping his obvious favouritism despite form and better younger options?

@Everton_Extra There is ultimately only 16/17 people that can do that. And it starts with the stubborn manager using a system that obviously doesn’t work and persistently using players out of position or is loyal to despite performances. O’Brien is a CB. IGG sub not starter. Aznou LB?

@PED7 The subs are so obvious to all. Therefore his own stubbornness withholds making them because he has to admit it got it wrong. Again. Maybe?

@PED7 It makes no sense at all. Seemingly defensive clean sheets at contributing to wins simply doesn’t qualify you as a certain right back pick. 🤯. What does he see that makes him believe O’Brien makes sense.

Totally understand resting Branthwaite, although still think we can cope with an actual right back on the pitch.
