1964 - Dallas nightclub owner Jack Ruby was found guilty of murdering Lee Harvey Oswald, the man accused of assassinating President John F. Kennedy. Ruby had shot Oswald two days after the assassination, on November 24, 1963, as Oswald was being transferred.

1758 - The Santa Cruz de San Sabá mission was destroyed by 2,000 Comanches and their allies. Eight residents were killed and the mission buildings were burned.
