Today it's the turn of one of our 4 legged volunteers to take the stage. @SearchDogRusty is one of our operational search dogs. In just a year of being qualified he has racked up 47 deployments. Rusty actually prefers a cuddle over a toy to reward #VolunteersWeek2021

Rusty has now been with us for a year. He is coming on really well. Thanks to soo much support from you our followers and a fantastic grant last year from @Denplan @SimplyhealthUK which has really assisted with the financial burden of training a SAR dog.

On Friday our Medical Lead @MedicSJE gave a presentation at the UKSAR conference covering his work with @mindbluelight to support volunteers within Search & Rescue who regularly deal with truama. There will be many updates on his role over the coming months. twitter.com/mindbluelight/…
