@omnicollector They better rerelease Gintama in a 3-in-1 Omnibus release, if this new series by Gorilla Sensei. So they’ll eventually continue Gintama where it left off.

I realize there may be a lot more hesitance right now to license a 70+ volume series because of what has happened elsewhere, but on my mother’s name I promise if yall bring Gin Tama back it’s not going to flop.

@Chronically_Rae Awesome! I’m so glad that Gorilla sensei is back on WSJ! Let’s hope if this manga gets a major hit, maybe Viz would reconsider to rerelease the Gintama manga as a 3-in-1 Omnibus and continue where the last English volume where it left off in a omnibus format.

I am more than excited to announce that I will be editing this title. Sorachi Sensei is the reason I ever started reading shonen manga and seinen manga or Jump or anything like that at all. He also got me me through some of the darkest times in my life with his humor and I will say I was laughing out loud to the point of tears while editing this. I also did cry when I was asked if I wanted to edit his series. I edit Shinohara Sensei’s current and previous series, and he’s Sorachi Sensei’s former assistant, for a reason. The humor in this is really my brand of humor in the best way possible! Though it’s making me unmask a bit more than usual. The freelance team for this is the even volume team for Kingdom that starts at vol 12: Adrienne Beck translating (She has worked on Shinohara Sensei’s work that has been listeners here and is used to this style of comedy with my own collaboration with her thrown in) and Thom Kilcourse is the letterer (Huge Gin Tama fan, letterer of Kingdom and Under Doctor). This team was a deliberate choice on my part. I hope everyone laughs as much as I did when you get the chance to read this. Never in a million years did I think I would be getting to work on a title by the mangaka who has had such a profound impact on my life professionally and personally. Please be careful and don’t drink anything while reading 😉

Buffalo is ending production of their external Blu-ray drives in Japan. If you’re interested in backing up your Blu-ray collection, I suggest getting a drive now because more manufacturers are heading in this direction. Finding a good external 4K UHD drive is already tough.
