What really keeps things on the ground? Flat Earth suggests an electrostatic gradient + relative density disequilibrium, not gravity. No experiment has ever manipulated “gravity” as an independent variable, yet electrostatics can be demonstrated.
- Earth’s negative charge sets the downward bias.

Explanation for Gravity: Earths negative charge dictates the downward vector. buoyancy, density, and viscosity determines the rest. The electrostatic downward acceleration is a result of the gradient of positive voltage that increases as you go up. Its about 100V for every meter or so. Because of this gradient we know we are between two gaussian surfaces. We test this with a Van de Graaff generator by changing the charge of things like iron, wood, and human hair. @AV_overdrive At approximately 1:14:00ish Mark wants to equivocate curve(exists)with the debunking of space time(does not exist). This is faulty logic. To avoid gaslighting: I'm not saying the earth is curved. Flat and curved surfaces exist in reality whereas bending space-time fabrics do not.

This is what happens when people take a terrestrial sphere and flatten it into a non-uniform scale, without also taking the celestial sphere and flattening the lights out to a non-uniform scale too. The sun in this case would cease to manifest the way this is depicted here. Many flat earthers are setting themselves up to be strawmanned and ridiculed by claiming this to be flat earth, while many globe earthers are all too happy to oblige.
Old school flat earthers are quite frustrated by “Flat Earth Society 2.0” proponents, who have ignorantly reified such mappings and projections into existence with their silly app and conspiracy story telling. Having ditched one belief system for another without acquiring true knowledge, these flat earthers are no better than the globe believers themselves.

@amishbattlemech Nailed it, this is indeed FES 2.0 They're dedicated to recruiting anyone who will believe this globe projection called the Azimuthal Equidistant map projection (northern variety) is a map of a flat earth. Earth isn't flat based upon reification, it's flat based upon measurements.

The distortion in this particular projection causes lines of longitude to rapidly diverge within the equatorial plane, which is why land masses appear wider than what they would on a globe.
