At a time when Oklahoma is facing real budget challenges, we have to make tough choices. It’s time to let OETA operate as a private entity, without taxpayer money.

@UofOklahoma Thank you for standing with Samantha Fulnecky and for looking into this serious matter. Religious discrimination is not welcome at OU. We proudly stand with OU's decision and commend Samantha Fulnecky for being bold in her faith! Thanks again to the Governor and elected officials across the state for holding the University accountable.
Side note: @UofOklahoma stop hiring trans professors and instructors please, they are mentally ill and need help. On top of that, no more pronoun nonsense.

Thank you, @donspencerok2a for this honor especially on December 15th, Bill of Rights Day, which commemorates the ratification of our clearly defined freedoms protected by law.

The only way to stop this kind of discrimination is to fire the professor. A reversal of her grade is proof of blatant punishment by her professor, his continued employment in any capacity at OU is proof the university condones it.

Breaking News: The University of Oklahoma has issued a public statement stating that professor Mel Curth has been put on “administrative leave” for discriminating against Samantha Fulnecky on her college essay! Thank You @UofOklahoma for acting swiftly and acknowledging that discrimination against student’s based on their religious beliefs will not be tolerated. @DustyDeevers @GovStitt @shanejett @SenadorJett @SenMullin @SenStandridge @ChloeCole @Riley_Gaines_ @OU_President

For a psychology course at the University Oklahoma, Samantha Fulnecky was asked to write a 650-word essay reacting to an article about how people are perceived based on societal expectations of gender.
In her essay, Fulnecky argued that traditional gender roles should not be considered stereotypes. She cited the Bible to support her stance that eliminating gender in society would be "detrimental" because that would put people "farther from God's original plan for humans."
She received zero points out of 25 on the essay. Transgender professor, Mel Curtis, said Ms. Fulnecky, failed to use empirical evidence/and called parts of her essay offensive.
"To call an entire group of people 'demonic' is highly offensive, especially a minoritized population," the instructor wrote in the online grading platform.
Fulnecky says she followed the assignment guidelines and should not be penalized for her religious viewpoints. OU officials point to the formal grade-appeal process as the student awaits a decision.
We at Turning Point OU stand with Samantha. We should not be letting mentally ill professors around students.
Clearly this professor lacks the intellectual maturity to set her own bias aside and take grading seriously. Professors like this are the very reason conservatives can't voice their beliefs in the classroom. Kuddos to Samantha for leading by example and standing up for what she believes in. @UofOklahoma , do better!

SNAP benefits could very well be delayed beginning November 1st. We must find ways to make Oklahoma less dependent on federal programs such as SNAP for this very reason. Please visit this website
