@ShipGeophysics @Beaumontlj Sean, you might want to check out the whole thread before commenting further. Like you, I jumped in with some commentary on the review process, but it's not really about that; rather, it's about hostile/unprofessional reviewers.

@MapScience @Beaumontlj Spent many hours on reviewing two manuscripts this summer written by non-native speakers who used a translation service apparently... Ufhh

@Beaumontlj As a reviewer, I can offer some comments to consider. I often see halfworks, bad figures, typos, and incomplete citations (not or, and). Many authors seem to expect reviewers to finish their draft for them, not just review the science. Needed: a finished and clean manuscript.
