The North Koreans actually still use biplanes in their military. The Soviet Antonov AN-2, first made in 1947, is a various purpose biplane that North Koreans still use for both air stunts during events and as a paratrooper transport. Its ability to fly low and slow makes it harder for radar and air defense systems to spot, which can make it useful for sending paratroopers deep into the opposing side’s territory. I think the Russians and Ukrainians also use this plane still.

@AUromastyx @LonelyPAVN The same STG 44. It is as of 2026 the only known STG-44 still in existence in Vietnam. Probably, the last of the original 33.
