@meowriiiix His apology was poor taste I agree I feel like if he actually just said he didn't intend it to come off a certain way or explained a little bit I feel like it would have been received way better

@Simply_Simp23 There's a concept I'd invite you to look into called "intent vs impact". When someone says you did something that hurt them, you may not have meant to but it doesn't cost anything to say sorry. He may not have meant to hurt people - what he said still did. Faking apology isn't ok

@Simply_Simp23 Saying someone is using misogynistic language isn't necessarily calling them a misogynist. But defending that language contributes to the culture of misogyny that harms women in these spaces. Cris honestly could've ignored the callout but instead he made a fake apology for it.

@meowriiiix And not a lot of people know about the sexual implications that that word carries when they say it

@Simply_Simp23 That is true, there are multiple factors that harm women in this industry. Language is just one of them. Just because more than one thing is harmful doesn't mean that we should ignore some things though.

@meowriiiix I agree with you on what you said about gaming being toxic for women yes there are weirdos and people who do use words in a bad way but you can't label every single person as one of those people because they called someone an e kitten not everyone has ill intentions
