Immigration law is one of the most slept on niches in local SEO right now. Here is why. Immigration law is federal. That means an immigration lawyer can legally serve clients in any state in the country. They are not bound to one city the way a roofer or a dentist is. That completely changes how you build the SEO campaign. Instead of just trying to dominate one market, I would go find two or three cities where demand for immigration law is high, review counts in the map pack are low, and nobody with an exact match Google Business Profile is already sitting at the top. Small to mid size cities across the US are full of markets like this. I have seen map packs in this niche where the number one ranked immigration lawyer has 22 reviews. That is not a typo. 22 reviews. Walk in with 30 reviews and an exact match GBP that says "Immigration Lawyer [City Name]" and you are already in the conversation for the top spot. Here is how I would actually set it up. Get a physical address or a co-working space in each target city. Set up a Google Business Profile in each location. Name them exactly what people are searching for. Then I would have someone overseas or an AI answering service handling all the inbound calls. Route everything back to the actual lawyer. The client never knows the difference and frankly does not care as long as they get help. Now you are running three markets at the same time with one lawyer. The immigration law space is not sophisticated. The competition is not doing backlink outreach. They are not running any kind of real off-page strategy. Most of them got their reviews from family members and old clients and stopped thinking about SEO after that.

@esjesjesj What I notice is they could easily share the internal data, which is something old twitter used to do, instead it's just a bunch of ad hominem attacks.

The less people who have power over your life the happier you'll be. It's crazy how most ppl spend their lives trying to find ways to take less responsibility and accountability in their lives. Yeah you might be able to "get away" with more stuff but you'll be miserable

The harder a thing is to do the less competition there will be. Everyone gravitates towards the easy stuff Which in turn makes it hard because there's so many people competing for a piece of the pie

It is. What you described is the film’s critique of religion or at least the church. PTA’s saying both capitalism and religion put on performances that sway the masses. You’re right about their conflict but it’s symbolic. Eli didn’t just use religion, he embodies how religion was used in America. Same with Daniel and capitalism. filmcolossus.com/there-will-be-…

There Will Be Blood is a movie about the battle for the soul of America between religion and capitalism, a battle that religion loses. It’s just as restrained and precise as No Country. But it deals with a larger concept that takes more time to develop and pay off on. No Country is about aging. Hence the title. It’s about Tommy Lee Jones realizing he no longer has a place in the world. If that seems weird because Jones isn’t in much of the movie: that’s the point. He can’t keep up. The opening monologue he tells a story about his youth and how he helped stop a bad guy. But at this age, he can’t. It’s a genius way to represent the theme. Both are masterpieces. If you have two movies that both hit home runs every time they take a swing, the winner is the one that takes more swings. That’s TWBB.
Bo Winegard@EPoe187

Every few months, I revisit the No Country vs There Will Be Blood debate. Both are obviously masterpieces, but I've landed on this: No Country is the better film because it is more restrained and precise. TWBB is a strange cinematic opera, No Country is a classical sculpture.

🚨 Japan placed stone warnings along its coastline centuries ago. In 2011, the ocean proved them right. Scattered along Japan's coast are hundreds of ancient markers known as tsunami stones. Some are over 600 years old. They carry one message: do not build below this point. 🔹Aneyoshi obeyed and survived 2011 🔹Some stones are over 600 years old 🔹Hundreds placed along Japan's coast 🔹Over 20,000 killed in the 2011 tsunami 🔹Towns below the markers were destroyed One stone in Aneyoshi reads "Remember the calamity of the great tsunamis. Do not build any homes below this point." The village obeyed. When the 2011 tsunami hit, the water stopped just below the stone. Aneyoshi survived. Surrounding towns that built below the markers lost over 20,000 people. A Tohoku University professor said "It takes about three generations for people to forget." Survivors carved warnings into stone because they knew memory fades. Civilisation after civilisation did the same thing thousands of years earlier. If the Japanese stones proved deadly accurate after 600 years, why do we assume the older warnings are just myths?
