The Institute of Hospitality is not, and since 1938 never has been, a lobbying organisation. What we are is a huge, influential global community of hospitality professionals with a credible, respected voice.
Since 2021, our collective voice has grown in reach and influence, engaging with governments in the UK and beyond and delivering demonstrable impact, including the development of the UK government-recognised standard for hospitality recruitment.
And as we look ahead, our focus now turns to where that voice will be heard next. With that in mind, it was useful to meet with my colleague Andrew Henderson, Secretariat to a number of All Party Parliamentary Groups, to discuss future opportunities for our Institute to support the continued professionalisation of our incredible #HospitalityFamily.
And this matters, because it reinforces something incredibly important:
Hospitality is a profession of opportunity. Where anyone, from any background, can grow, develop and thrive, while making a meaningful contribution to our economy and the communities we serve.
And that is what we champion, and where our work makes a real difference, for hospitality professionals and for our guests.
And as our profession continues to evolve, so too will the strength and reach of its voice.
