No point appealing tbh. I went through the same thing, I sent all my Clip Studio Paint files and even added new timelapses but nothing changed. They still couldn’t recognize the legitimacy of the work and the suspension stayed. It honestly feels like there is no proper human review or their system just cannot accurately tell real art from AI.

Hey @_VGen_ free Renou! They are a YCH artist and have not used A/I tools once since I started contracting them. I literally have sketches in my inbox on your site for WIPs. Please have an actual person verify suspensions, this is awful.

I understand the need to keep the platform safe, but as an artist who got suspended, it’s really frustrating to be in a position where I have to prove my work is real. Not everyone has perfect backups, files, or even timelapses ready, but that doesn’t mean the art isn’t genuine. I also hope the team can consider checking an artist’s social platforms for past works and consistency as part of the evaluation. I hope the review and appeal process can better reflect how real artists actually work, because mistakes like this can seriously affect us.

Since I'm reposting anyway, I've also combined the previously threaded note, and will also provide some additional context] _ Reminder that we take AI accusations very seriously and always thoroughly investigate reports. CSP autosaves backups and the possibility of having multiple corrupted files without any access to any backups is highly unlikely. Thank you for keeping VGen free of AI. _ To clarify: it’s definitely possible to have corrupt csp files. However, it seems very unlikely to have multiple corrupt files for recent works that don’t match your usual anatomy / art style that just so happens to be the exact works we’re investigating. If there is evidence of AI involvement, without the original files, and without a redraw that matches the anatomy / art style of the reported work - while we can never be 100% certain - cases like this will result in a temporary suspension. If you feel we have made an incorrect decision, suspended artists are able appeal with additional evidence and we are happy to lift any administrative actions accordingly. There is absolutely no reason why we would want to suspend an artist who hasn’t broken our ToS or policies. Thank you for supporting human artists. _ Added additional context: Th og post was generally referring to our AI policy and warnings around file corruption. It was inspired by recent team chatters around a case we've been investigating but was made before I had the full context of that case. If you are concerned about that case, please know it is actively being appealed and reviewed. We always tell our team to only act on AI reports when we’re 90%+ certain, but being a manual human review, we do make mistakes and that's why we have an appeal process. As mentioned above, there is absolutely no reason why we would want to suspend an artist who hasn’t broken our ToS or policies. Thank you for your patience and support.

@sharondadele1 @arunyi_ @_VGen_ wooow very similar situation with me, i had my vgen suspended because my splashart studies were too close in similarity. originally they thought i traced them, and they also requested timelapse proof which i gladly gave. i had a very similarly phrased email

This is unfair. I never violated any rules, I never used AI on my art. Why does this happened to me if I always tried to make everything right? I always do what clients asks me because I love giving them joy. Why would I need AI when I can draw everything by myself? @_VGen_

It’s honestly frustrating to be reported for AI/tracing when I create all my work from scratch. I never use AI, and I always provide step-by-step progress updates to my clients. I also invest in Clip Studio brushes and assets to improve my workflow and enhance my artwork. I’m currently not feeling well and out of town, so receiving this is really disheartening. I hope reports are carefully reviewed, as not all of them are valid. #VGen #Vgenartist #NotoAI

At the end, my account was still suspended, so I’m now looking for other platforms where I can continue my commissions. I provided a lot of proof of my process, but since I don’t have timelapse recordings, they still proceeded with the suspension. Unfortunately, they aren’t allowing any appeal, so there’s nothing more I can do on that end. 😔
