The President of Ghana has assented to a 24-hour economy bill. Sametime, the government is calling for the development of a local stablecoin to power the country's currency onchain. There's no industry more 24/7 than crypto! A country running a 24-hour economy plus a market that runs 24/7 and never sleeps. The next few years in Ghana are going to be exciting!

The battle for financial sovereignty and creating a more connected global financial system has moved from using neutral assets and technologies such as Bitcoin or Ethereum. It is now converging around Stablecoins, which are now becoming the last stand of Sovereignty. If your economy can't provide a unit of account onchain, you are basically doomed as a country. It will be the equivalent of getting cut off from the internet as a country!

Tokenization is eating the world!

Crypto has entered an entirely new paradigm. If you're still waiting to feel the vibe of crypto's Wild West days, you're essentially stuck in the past. New narratives like tokenization and RWAs are gradually taking over, but with less noise because institutions are actively involved. And institutional money moves in silence while taking over. Yes, what we're mostly seeing right now on Base and sometimes on Solana, with regard to degen activities is a remnant of a gradually vanishing timeline.

These new tax laws are only going to succeed at rapidly accelerating stablecoin adoption and the complete dollarization of the nigerian economy. I tried to warn everyone.

The rise of Stablecoins pegged to countries in Africa-fiat should be accompanied by our own controlled-narrative. The more one dives into the Stablecoins rabbit hole, the more one is convinced that Stablecoins pegged with African countries fiat shouldn't be tagged as "Local" Why? Stablecoins makes any nations currency instantly programmable and borderless. It's a rail that make it possible for countries fiat to be plug into global financial pipelines in ways never before imagined. Calling yours "Local" is surrendering narrative power and limiting their scope. It also makes them look inferior to others even though they are not. Domestic Stablecoins is the right name imo. Just like USD-pegged stablecoins are domestic stablecoins for the United States with global superpowers. Any country's stablecoin has the ability to be globally relevant if orchestrated well.
