Last Wednesday, our year 5 and 6 hockey squad played in the city tournament. Both teams played with strength and skill, only losing one game each. They finished 4th and 5th out of 32 teams! #hockeyheroes #springfieldsmiles

Yesterday, the boy's football faced Perryfields. They started strongly and were leading 1-0 at half time. Unfortunate due to hitting the woodwork twice and fortunate equaliser followed by another goal., they chased the game finally losing 3-1.#footballfanatics #springfieldsmiles

Y5 had a great time designing and building their own bridges. Working in teams, they planned their ideas carefully in groups before constructing their bridges to hold a 1kg weight. #teamwork #springfieldsmiles

Y1 children began their new English unit on instructions by carefully followed a recipe. They practised reading and understanding instructions as they measured, mixed and prepared the ingredients. #teamwork #springfieldsmiles

Today, Springfield Boys welcomed Barnes Farm for a league fixture. The boys played incredibly against a team full of academy players. They lost 5-0 but never lost their Springfield spirit! Player of the match was Brooklyn. #springfieldsmiles
