@SteSharpAuthor That’s often the point where the story’s core promise needs sharpening. Have you tried stepping back and asking what the reader should be feeling at this stage?

@dreyemman It was an anonymous rating so no conversation! 😄 Beta-readers liked it but it's quite a mash-up of genres, so not to everyone's taste.
