@epollaert@Rhyagell@Allegedly_G No, the covid19 vaccine isn't FDA approved. It has emergency authorization use only. No animal trials were done before it was given to humans. Next time, you might want to do some research before rolling up your sleeve.
@thomasjbevan1 It's probably more popular among us parents than among the child-free--but we're used to being judged, heck I used to think I knew all about the right ways to parent before I became one. :-)
@thomasjbevan1 Unpopular opinion: just because a child thinks he or she needs attention doesn't make it so. We spend more time with our kids now than ever before in history, so even if *some* of that time is distracted... well, it's still a lot of time. ourworldindata.org/parents-time-w…
One of the effects of training performance over aesthetics,
Is that people tend to underestimate you.
This can be true in many situations- the gym, athletic ability, a fight, calisthenics, etc.
Would you rather be overestimated or underestimated?
I'm amused by all the folks in "my generation" (and even a bit younger) complaining about #GRAMMYs last night, specifically about the "lewd" dancing, revealing costumes, and dirty songs. When is it that we became our parents and grandparents? 1/
If I gotta wear a mask, gonna be a ninja. Yeah, @vincentninja68? Funny thing: carded to buy a bottle of wine! WINE! Showed her my CDL. You know, with a pic of my actual face. I asked, can you ID me at all? Really? She said nope, but we have to ask. 🤦🏼♂️😆
@SteakAndIron So are the French but there must be other factors to explain this paradox- no refined carbs, eat in moderation, exercise, dominantly pescatarian diet, genetic makeup...
@thomasjbevan1 Not sure if this counts as someone to follow, but I actually came here and followed you just share a link to an audio version of a New York Times story that seems like it would be right up your alley. #episodeGuid=6e867ddc-a0e7-499c-921f-23b836cefeff" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the…
hey @fire_bottle stupid question but what would your thoughts be on just popping a tablespoon of stearic acid per day? I have a big bag of that stearic/palmitic acid blend and it keeps looking at me.
Anyone still keep the grease from bacon to use for other cooking needs later, or was that just my grandma as a kid?
If so for what?
I’ll start...she put in green beans.
