Good news everyone, I've got through the part of my afternoon's work that involves the Fair Trading Act and am on to the part that involves the New Zealand Bill of Rights Act.

I'm predicting now the the NZ High Court will produce over 4000 decisions this year. Last year it did just under 3900 - but, by the MNC, the Court is running two weeks ahead of the equivalent numbering to last year. I know no one else cares about this but I love this sort of stat

Had occasion to re-read Brooker and Morse today. Hard to describe but they seem like they're from a different age in terms of how the Supreme Court talks about rights. It's not that the results would be different, but I just don't think the conversation is the same.
