Madera gives #CA13 Rep. John Duarte (R) a little bit of breathing room, but with so much of Merced/Stanislaus left, still plenty of votes for Adam Gray (D) to catch up.
Rob Pyers@rpyers

🚨 #CA13 Update - the GOP-friendly Madera County portion of the district updates, adding 495 votes that break 62.2%/37.8% for incumbent Republican John Duarte, netting him 121 votes and increasing his lead from 227 votes to 348 votes.

Breaking: newly tabulated Merced Co. ballots cut #CA13 Rep. John Duarte's (R) lead from 1,564 votes to just *227* votes. This is going down to the wire, and an Adam Gray (D) win would cost the GOP another House seat.

In #CA13, Rep. John Duarte (R) is up by 2.2% (2,976) votes after the latest update, but looking closely at what's outstanding I'd probably slightly rather be Adam Gray (D). It's going down to the wire again here.

This is important. In places where persuasion and other efforts were being made, Kamala did 3 points better than in places where it wasn’t happening. If the fundamentals and dissatisfaction w Biden hadn’t been so overwhelming, that three points could have been decisive.
Dave Wasserman@Redistrict

Latest numbers: across the seven battleground states, the '20-'24 swing towards Trump was ~3.1 pts. Across the other 43 states (+DC), it was ~6.7 pts. Bottom line: the Harris campaign swam impressively against some very strong underlying currents.
