Our team used 18 waterbags, each holding 10–50m³ of water, to progressively load the crane. Waterbags are one of the safest ways to conduct this type of test, allowing load to be added gradually while the crane is closely monitored, rather than lifting the full load all at once.

🎈💧 This is proof load testing of the 500-tonne gantry crane at the Southern Precinct construction site, a mandatory step in commissioning to ensure the crane is calibrated, tested and safe to operate at full capacity.

🚧 South Road traffic switch in Torrensville over March long weekend 🚧 A section of South Road in Torrensville will be moved onto a new alignment over the March long weekend as part of the T2D Project.
