@rationalyankee The late Peter Seidler never complained about the market. Under his watch, the Padres competed with the likes of the Dodgers and Mets in the standings and in payroll. Don't lump him in with the likes of Nutting and Castellini.

The Padres are worth $3.9 billion. In a market where half the population are just service members waiting for deployment. A Bud Light at Petco Park is $15, a lobster roll is $45 and they charge you that without ever having won a World Series. None of these small market owners need your sympathy and they never did. Next time one of these owners complains about not being able to compete financially, they should have to yell it into a microphone while showing you their tax returns.

Many technical errors on petitions and forms can be amended after the fact - missed lines, mailing addresses instead of official addresses, etc. But Judge Covey ruled Sultana made a fatal error by listing her occupation as "self-employed" without stating what she did for a job.
