Home is not a place you run away from, it’s a place you return to. It’s where you lay down your life beside the people you love, defending what matters most against those who have no right to be there. Those villagers chose to protect their homes, their memories, and their way of life rather than become refugees in a world that had already taken so much from them. This part of the story hit me so hard and made me cry for so many reasons. It carries an incredible weight, the quiet, stubborn humanity of people who would rather die free on their own soil than survive by abandoning everything that made their lives meaningful.
