OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING (no injuries) Today an officer attempted to stop 29-year old Aaron Sayre driving a stolen car near Memorial Road & Walker. Pursuit initiated, Sayre shot at the officer, & officer returned fire. Sayre ran off & was picked up by a Nissan Cube.

@davidfholt There was a combined total of 6,000 cases today. Please tell me how that's an encouraging "trend." I personally know 3 people that died days ago from it. ICU BEDS ARE FULL. EVERYWHERE. We need a MASK. MANDATE.

Latest COVID-19 new case data for the OKC metro. The charts below depict the whole pandemic and then just since 3/1 (so you can better see the recent data). Too early to declare it a new trend, but there does seem to be the potential for an encouraging development in recent days.

COVID-19 hospitalizations in OKC metro hospitals have reached 405 patients today. To put this number in perspective from both ends of our pandemic experience: In May the whole state had around 110 patients; and on our worst day in Jan. the OKC metro topped 700 patients. (1/3)

@davidfholt @okchealth Also, I've been vaccinated since April, and I'm STILL wearing a mask. Everywhere. Guess what? No one here has caught it. All of my family is vaccinated. Still wearing masks bc we know this variant is no joke.

@davidfholt @okchealth Except vaccinated people are catching the variant! Kids are getting it, bad. We NEED YOU to STEP UP and issue a MASK MANDATE! People aren't going to get vaccinated. The only way to slow the spread now is masks, again.

@BrittDeJesus_ You should try changing your diet. My mom has Lupus and everything that comes with it. She is paleo and has noticed a HUGE difference in her pain levels. I personally use edibles and CBD cream
