BREAKING: The value of US data centers under construction has officially surpassed the value of office buildings under construction for the first time in history. Data centers under construction are up+29% YoY, to a record $45.1 billion. Meanwhile, the value of offices under construction are down -13%, to $43.5 billion, the lowest since October 2015. Since November 2022, when ChatGPT was launched, data center construction is up +228%. Over that same period, office construction is down -38%. AI is reshaping the US economy.

 Every year I rebuild the index to front-run the reconstitution. Here’s what I’m seeing so far for 2026 👇 ‼️ $SCHD 2026 Q1 Dividend Estimate $0.2587 – $0.2707/share That’s roughly:
+4% to +9% YoY growth Q1 is the hardest payout to model, so this is one of the few times I give a range. Method: weighted payouts across every holding. This has been consistently accurate. Key Dates:
Ex-dividend: March 25
Pay date: March 30
Expected announcement: March 24 (after close) I’ll post it the moment it drops. ‼️ $SCHD 2026 Reconstitution Predictions March 20 → Reconstitution
March 23 → Changes visible This is where $SCHD separates itself. It doesn’t chase what just went up. 
It rotates into what’s been left behind but still has strong fundamentals. • Higher yield
• Strong dividend growth
• High ROE
• Strong free cash flow What I’m seeing: • Rotation into out-of-favor sectors
• Possible yield boost
• Value tilt holding strong I rebuilt the methodology using screening tools to project adds and removals. There are at least 2 names in my list that shouldn’t be there. I already know why… But I’m curious who else can catch it 👀 I’ll post all the real changes when they go live Monday. Saudi Arabia is ramping up oil exports amid the Strait of Hormuz closure: Crude oil shipments from Yanbu, a port on Saudi Arabia's Red Sea coast, are up to 4.19 million barrels per day. This marks a +185% increase from the ~1.47 million barrels per day that moved through the port in February, before the Iran War. The surge is being powered by a 746-mile pipeline rerouting crude from the eastern oil fields to Yanbu, bypassing the blocked Strait of Hormuz entirely. Shipments have also more than doubled since January’s 1.29 million barrels per day. As a result, Saudi Arabia has already recovered more than half of its pre-war export capacity of ~7 million barrels per day. Furthermore, at least 32 large oil tankers are waiting near Yanbu to load, with more still heading to the port. Saudi Arabia is aggressively looking to bypass the Strait of Hormuz.

So we sold it. We bought a smaller house. Lower payments. Less upkeep. A ton more happiness. And we used that extra money to enjoy life. Big flexes aren’t always the right choice.

We had a problem with this. We bought the best known house in our city. Everyone knew where we lived. We were so proud of it. But it was more than we needed. The upkeep wasn’t want we wanted. We actually needed a smaller house.
