So here's what they don't want you to ask: ❓ Why does the media frame Trump as the villain in EVERY story — even stories that have nothing to do with him? ❓ Why do they associate Poilievre with Trump — even when he's criticizing him? ❓ Who benefits when you're angry at Trump instead of asking why your PM holds $6.8M in a company exposed to slave labour? ❓ Who benefits when you see "Canada's Trump" instead of asking why $601 MILLION in goods from a forced labour region entered Canada last year? ❓ Who benefits when Canada blocks TWO shipments while the US blocks a THOUSAND — and the headline blames America? The formula is simple: Keep you angry at Trump. Keep you scared of Poilievre. Keep you from looking at Carney. But why? What are they protecting? That's the topic of our next thread. And it goes deeper than you think. 🔔 Turn on notifications so you don't miss it. 🇨🇦 Every claim sourced. Every dollar documented. This isn't Liberals vs Conservatives. This is about whether you're being informed — or managed. #StandOnGuard #StandOnGuardCanada 🇨🇦

📎 Think this is just two articles? It's not. It's the formula. Here are FIVE more examples of Canadian media linking Poilievre to Trump — whether the story warrants it or not: 1️⃣ NBC News: "Canada was poised to elect its own 'Maple MAGA' movement" → nbcnews.com/world/canada/c… 2️⃣ TIME Magazine: "Liberals are working overtime to paint him as Maple MAGA" → time.com/7271162/canada… 3️⃣ CBC: "Is Pierre Poilievre too 'in sync' with Donald Trump?" → cbc.ca/news/politics/… 4️⃣ Globe and Mail: "Does the Conservative Party want to be a MAGA branch plant?" → theglobeandmail.com/business/comme… 5️⃣ Policy Magazine: "The New Poilievre: Further from Trump, Closer to Carney" → policymagazine.ca/the-new-poilie… Even when Poilievre DIRECTLY CRITICIZES Trump... Even when Trump himself says he prefers dealing with Liberals... ...the headline still puts their names together. The formula never changes: America = Trump = Poilievre = Bad. 🔁

🔁 Now zoom out and notice the pattern across BOTH articles. The CBC article: → No direct connection to Trump → They inserted him anyway → Goal: associate the story with Trump, and Poilievre with Trump The Globe article: → The US is investigating CANADA for breaking CANADA'S own laws → But the framing positions the US as the threat → Not Canada's failure to stop slave labour imports Both articles. Same week. 🇺🇸 Trump = the villain 🇨🇦 Canada's failures = background noise Every. Single. Time.

🚨 THREAD: A step-by-step walkthrough of how the Canadian government controls what you think — through the news you trust. Two articles. Two outlets. One week. I'm going to show you exactly how it works — the framing, the omissions, the emotional triggers — so you can see it for yourself and never unsee it. 💰 CBC receives $1.58 BILLION per year from the government → That's 70% of their entire budget 💰 The Globe and Mail claims up to $29,750 PER journalist PER year through a government tax credit → At a 35% rate → Funded by you These outlets aren't broken. They're working exactly as designed. Here's the blueprint. 🧵👇

🧩 Here's the piece nobody is connecting. The global disclosure frameworks that REQUIRE companies like Brookfield to report their forced labour exposure? Mark Carney helped BUILD them. → He created the TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures) → He led GFANZ ($130 TRILLION financial alliance) → Both frameworks include human rights and supply chain reporting And the rules Canada agreed to under CUSMA — the ones the US is now investigating Canada for breaking? Those exist within the same international architecture Carney championed. His frameworks force companies to disclose forced labour risk. While imports from the slave labour region grew 10x. He built the transparency system. Then became the leader of the country that ignores it. 🪞

🔍 The Globe article mentions Carney by name. It asks if his government will act. It quotes human rights advocates writing directly to him. But here's what it NEVER mentions: ❌ Carney chaired Brookfield Asset Management until January 2025 ❌ He still holds $6.8M in unvested stock options ❌ Brookfield Renewable is named in the 2025 Human Rights Benchmark for Xinjiang supply chain exposure ❌ Brookfield's OWN SEC filing lists the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act as a material business risk 📎 That SEC filing is a public document. Anyone can read it: bep.brookfield.com/sites/bep-broo… → Search "Uyghur" in the PDF A story about whether the PM will act on slave labour... ...that doesn't mention his $6.8M personal stake in a company exposed to slave labour supply chains? That's not journalism. That's protection. 🛡️

📊 And here's what the Globe buried as a footnote: Xinjiang imports to Canada: 2023: $59.1M 2024: $231.4M 2025: $601.1M 10x increase. Two years. 📈 Two shipments blocked. The US blocked over 1,000. And the whole time — the Globe frames America as the problem and Canada as the victim of pressure. America = threatening tariffs = Trump = bad. Not: Canada = importing slave labour = breaking its own laws = Carney's conflict of interest. See how it works? 👇

Here's every framing trick in ONE article: 🔹 "Could lead to more tariffs on Canadian products" → Framing: The US is threatening Canada → Reality: Canada signed CUSMA. Canada passed the law. Canada broke it. 🔹 "Reduce the likelihood of new tariffs from the Trump administration" → Framing: Stopping slave labour imports is about avoiding Trump's punishment → Not because... slavery is wrong? 🔹 "Canada would face huge administrative costs" → Framing: Enforcement is too expensive → Reality: The US blocked 1,000+ shipments. Canada blocked 2. They found the budget. 🔹 "At a time when Mr. Carney is trying to attract more business from the Chinese" → Framing: Carney's desire for Chinese investment is a VALID REASON not to enforce forced labour laws → That's not context. That's the conflict of interest. The article ends with the Chinese Embassy calling forced labour claims "completely baseless." The UN says slavery. The Globe gives China the last word. 🎤 Here's what the Globe told you. And what it hid. 👇

📰 Now let's look at the Globe and Mail. Same week. Different topic. Same playbook. Their headline: "Canada urged to adopt U.S. approach to goods made with forced labour from China's Xinjiang" What the headline SHOULD say: 🚨 "US investigates Canada for failing to enforce its own slave labour import laws" But watch how the Globe turns Canada into the victim and the US into the bully 👇

🤯 And this article is about BOXING. People. Punching. Each other. In the head. The entire reason this debate exists in combat sports: 💪 Bone density 💪 Grip strength 💪 Punching power These aren't fairness questions. They're SAFETY questions. CBC found space to tell you what Rowling thinks. CBC found space to tell you what Trump thinks. CBC found space to tell you what Poilievre thinks. But how many times did they mention athlete safety? Zero. 0️⃣ A $1.58 BILLION broadcaster wrote about boxing eligibility... ...mentioned Trump, Rowling AND Poilievre... ...and forgot to mention the safety of the women getting punched. Unless safety wasn't part of the story they wanted you to hear.

🥊 CBC describes the controversy around boxer Imane Khelif as "misconceptions about her sex." That's not a fact. That's a verdict. What CBC didn't tell you: ❌ The International Boxing Association — the sport's OWN governing body — disqualified Khelif in 2023 ❌ She failed their gender eligibility test ❌ The IOC didn't recognize the result because they were in a dispute with the IBA You can agree with the IBA or the IOC. But calling it "misconceptions" without telling you a test was conducted and failed? That's not reporting. That's choosing what you're allowed to know.

🥊 Look at this line from the CBC article carefully: "Rowling and Trump have referred repeatedly to Khelif as male. She was born female and met IOC eligibility rules in 2024." Two sentences. Three manipulations. ❗️ MANIPULATION 1: "Rowling and Trump" → A children's book author and the US President grouped together → Why? So you associate anyone who questions this with Trump → Including Poilievre, who shared Rowling's post ❗️ MANIPULATION 2: "She was born female" → Presented as settled fact → What CBC didn't tell you: The International Boxing Association — the sport's OWN governing body — disqualified Khelif in 2023 after she FAILED their gender eligibility test → A governing body conducted a test. The athlete failed it. CBC calls this "misconceptions" ❗️ MANIPULATION 3: "met IOC eligibility rules in 2024" → Technically true — because the 2024 rules didn't require genetic testing → The NEW 2026 IOC rules DO require it → CBC is using the OLD broken rules to validate participation in an article about the NEW rules that replaced them Two sentences. Three times you were told what to think instead of given the facts. 📸👆

🇺🇸 Sentence TWO of the CBC article ties the IOC decision to "an executive order from U.S. President Donald Trump." Sounds like Trump made this happen, right? Now read paragraph 14. The IOC president herself says: → This was her priority BEFORE Trump took office → There was "no pressure from outside the Olympic movement" So why did CBC lead with Trump? Because they want you to think: IOC decision = Trump's idea ↓ Poilievre agrees with it ↓ Therefore Poilievre = Trump That's not journalism. That's an emotional assembly line. 🏭

📰 CBC published this headline: "Poilievre backs J.K. Rowling's support for Olympic ban of transgender women from women's sports" Sounds like a culture war opinion piece, right? Here's the ACTUAL news: 🏅 The International Olympic Committee changed its eligibility rules 🧬 Athletes must now undergo SRY gene testing 👩‍⚕️ This is a scientific and medical decision by the IOC itself But CBC didn't put the IOC in the headline. They put Poilievre. Ask yourself why.

New name. Same receipts. This account used to be @defigirlxoxo. Today it’s @TheCarneyFiles. I’m posting my old profile and analytics below so you can see the journey. Two weeks ago this account had 4,500 followers. Today it has 16,900. Three million impressions. Posts reaching 400,000 people. And I didn’t spend a single dollar. I’m going to share my analytics below so you can see it for yourselves. I started this account because I found something in the public record that I couldn’t unsource. So I kept pulling. And every thread led to another document, another filing, another court record, another report from the CBC or the UN or Amnesty International that most Canadians had never seen. I didn’t expect anyone to care. But you did. And then more of you did. And now I’m sitting here at the end of a very long day feeling more patriotic about this country than I have in my entire life — because of you. Here’s what I’ve learned in two weeks: The plan was to divide us. Liberals vs Conservatives. East vs West. French vs English. And it worked. Everyone is angry. But we’ve been angry at each other — when the record shows we should be angry at the same things. No matter who you voted for, you didn’t vote for a PM whose company was fined for slave labour. You didn’t vote for 4 floor crossings with no by-elections. You didn’t vote for 14 First Nations having to sue your government. You didn’t vote for a surveillance bill tabled the day after a majority-deciding vote. None of us did. Because none of us knew. And that’s the thing — there was a point where every single person reading this had no idea about any of this. Then you saw a thread, or a source, or a screenshot, and something shifted. You checked the links. You read the documents. And you changed your mind. Everyone else can do the same. The growth of this account is proof that when people see the record, they don’t look away. They share it. A lot of you are saying it’s hopeless. That there’s nothing we can do. That democracy is already gone. I understand why it feels that way. But I need you to look at what happened in two weeks with one account, no budget, and no team — and ask yourself what happens when it’s not just one account. So many of you have been asking how to help that I’ve started something tonight. @CanadaAuditors is a task force — a page for this community. It’s where tasks get posted, priorities get voted on, and anyone who wants to contribute can find a way in. Translate a thread. Make a video. Build a graphic. Write an article. Whatever you’re good at — there’s a place for it. I’ll set up official accounts on every platform and share more details tomorrow on how donations will be managed, how funds will be allocated, and how the community will make those decisions together — transparently. I’ll be honest with you: I am no good at managing operations. The research is what I do. So I am looking for someone to manage @CanadaAuditors day to day — posting tasks, tracking progress, running polls, keeping things moving. If that’s you, comment below or DM @CanadaAuditors directly. No DMs on this account. It’s being set up as a team account so more details tomorrow. One more thing. I want to thank you. Not for the follows or the impressions — for the fact that you proved something I wasn’t sure was true, when I started: that Canadians will act when they see the record. That the facts still matter. That this country still has people who refuse to look the other way. You didn’t need anyone to tell you what to think. You just needed to see the sources — and when you did, you made up your own minds. I didn’t build this movement. You did — by showing up and proving that Canadians still care deeply enough about this country to fight for its future in every way they can. Now let’s make sure every Canadian gets the same chance. 🇨🇦 🍁 #StandOnGuardCanada
