Parenting is tough. Some seasons of life are harder than others. Resist the thoughts of: "I'll be happy when he sleeps through the night." "I'll be relieved when they go back to school." "I can't wait until . . ." Soak up all you can now, don't wish for time to accelerate.

As a parent, you perform acts of service, love, selflessness, kindness, everything for your children, expecting nothing in return. Ever. You do it for them. Not to fulfill a want or desire in your life.

Children only ask you to play with them for so long. Infants only sleep on your chest for a short while. Toddlers grow and stop laughing at silly faces. Shift your mind today and prioritize your family first.

There is no wrong way to pray. Pray out loud & let your children hear you. Don't get caught up in the specific words or feel like it has to sound a certain way. Start small, give yourself grace, and keep it short. The Lord knows what's in your heart.

Being a father is challenging. Even moreso when we have our own personal struggles to endure. While our mission is to encourage fathers to be present and intentional daily with your children, ensure you take time for yourself on a consistent basis to mentally reset.

Children are meant to get dirty. The first thing my boys do when we go outside is grab a handful of dirt or jump in the mud. Embrace it. Let them explore, dig, and splash. Everything can be cleaned.

Our children are more capable than we allow. We are what's holding them back. We are in a hurry. We don't want a potential mess. We don't want the potential for pain. We don't want to exude extra energy. Get out of their way. Let them do, spill, fall, fail, learn, and grow.

To my children: You are ultimately responsible for your actions. However, your actions are heavily influenced by your friends, your environment, and what you feed your mind. Surround and infuse yourself with wholesome people and content. Your actions will directly benefit.
