In class, we were fortunate to hear from JED Foundation’s Founder Phil Satow and CEO John MacPhee, whose inspiring work supporting mental health is changing the landscape on university campuses across the US.

Yesterday, we got to do one of our favorite things: step into the classroom. We visited our class at Columbia University to spend time with some truly thoughtful, curious students who are already thinking deeply about how to make a difference in the world.

Last week we popped in at Texas A&M, where the class is already amid the grant making process, doing site visits with their top organizations, and diving deeper into their due diligence.

Phil Lab made it to St. Louis for our Washington University in St. Louis class's field trip to Missouri Health Foundation, featuring a panel of area funders. Now in its 6th year, the WashU class has granted $273,000 to local St. Louis nonprofits.
