Having kids read at night is certainly better than assigning worksheets, but I've lost count of the number of parents who have told me,"My child used to love reading until the teacher started requiring the kids to read x minutes every night. Now it's become a chore."

@lawyer4laws One of the main reasons college costs so much today is because the federal government hands out student loans. If you abolished the student loan program, colleges would be forced to lower tuition costs.
