Gen X here... I remember going to McDonald's for birthday parties & on rare occasions w/ my family for a treat. Eating out was NEVER an everyday occurrence... not even weekly. Months would go buy w/ nothing but grocery store bought food. Where are these people getting their info?
Raven@raven_brah

Boomers seem to forget that fast food used to be a normal, everyday expense for them because it was affordable. You could get a burger easily on minimum wage, it wasn’t some fancy treat you had once a year as a reward for pulling yourself up by your bootstraps.

My neighbor bought his house in 1987 for $74,000. He refinanced once. He paid it off. His property taxes are $1,800/year because of how long he's owned it. The exact same house next door just sold for $710,000. The 28-year-old who bought it pays $9,200/year in taxes. And $4,100/month on the mortgage. Same street. Same house. Completely different life. We didn't just price people out of homes. We priced them out of futures.

@ma1ybe Hot take, the stupid irresponsible person who did this makes stupid and irresponsible choices. There are various other means of giving up a baby, but the stupid irresponsible person dumps it like garbage, because they are stupid and irresponsible, criminally, actually.

@SDSLLC_USA because you closed the credit cards, you didn't bring the balance down to 0. That reduced your 'capacity' FFS, idiots like you can't even google what makes up a credit score. The information is all there for you and you act like spoiled brats instead of learning something

Can someone explain this to me like I'm 5 years old? Last month I paid off a credit card, no high balance at all. Two weeks ago I paid off another credit card, no high balance at all. These are the only two credit cards that I have. Why did my credit score drop dramatically?

My spousal unit and I date nights range from candlelight dinners to arguing over who forgot the coupons at aisle seven. We've tried dancing in the kitchen, midnight milkshake runs, and one questionable "DIY spa night." Moral of the story: try the crazy ideas-worst case, you laugh... best case, you make a memory. 😂

I was out for a jog last night and spotted this boy. He is tiny and I could tell he was utterly broken from living on the streets. I couldn’t get him out of my head so we went back today… (1/7) 🧵

What a horrible thing to say. I love older people. You really are a nasty one. This is what an infiltrator looks like, folks. Dont alienate our older generation. They deserve our love and respect.

Mallard Creek boys track and field was disqualified for unsportsmanlike conduct after winning the 4x400 relay in the final event of the day. Had the result stayed, the Mavericks would have won the team state championship. Instead, they remained in second place. Alright guys, quick restaurant review: this is way west, so if you’re in midtown, nice alternative. Not a tourist spot. More locals. Good-looking young crowd (they let me in anyway). Recommend the branzino. The burger was good but super rich. God wine a bit pricey..
