Over the past day we’ve taken the time to read through the volume of comments and messages from supporters. The feedback has been clear, and we want to reassure you that your voices are being heard. This decision regarding U16s has not been taken lightly. It follows serious incidents at a recent fixture that have led to an FA investigation and increased scrutiny on the club. As a result, we’ve had to act to protect the safety of everyone inside the ground. We know how important young supporters are to our club and the atmosphere you help create. But we’ve also seen instances this season where unsupervised U16s have been involved in situations we simply cannot ignore. As a volunteer-run club, we do not have the resources to safely manage large groups of unsupervised minors. For the remainder of the season, U16s who are not season ticket holders must attend with a paying adult. This is a temporary measure while the FA process is ongoing and will be fully reviewed in the close season. We understand this isn’t the news many of you wanted. But please know your voices have been heard, and they will continue to shape what comes next. We’re committed to working with supporters to find a better long-term solution.
