@tuliozera5 These are my guesses: 1. Russel finishing P3 makes him the closest rival to Leclerc. Lewis finishing P3 would've made Leclerc's lead even bigger. 2. Mercedes didn't want to risk either driver getting a DNF while battling each other 3. Russel getting his first podium is good PR
