@apgripsh @SnackPr0tein Age isn’t everything, but Awa has so much upside. I care so much more about winning than jersey sales. Winning is the best way to market. But also I’m not a Wings fan. They can go ahead and do whatever they want lol. It would just be a baffling decision to me.

@apgripsh @SnackPr0tein Azzi is a role player too. And an injury prone one at that. Awa is only 5 months older than Jazzy Davidson who won’t be eligible to be drafted until 2029. If you have 1OA always draft for upside. Drafting for floor is how you never get out of the basement.

@apgripsh @SnackPr0tein It's Europe. No one plays that many mins or averages that many points. The leading scorer on her team (Fiebich) is averaging 10.9 ppg. The Valkyries proved that talent produces given greater opportunity. The sky is the limit for Awa. The best way to sell more tickets is be good

@SnackPr0tein Boy that's a lot of excuses for Fam. I'm supposed to feel great with her at 1 even though she doesnt score, doesnt start, doesnt have stuff run for her AND doesnt help her guards play better? What a deal! Take Fudd, sell more tickets, get a real practice facility/arena. Not hard

@timkawakami Also worth noting with Thornton, expansion teams can select only one UFA and can sign them to a max contract. There will be better options available than KT coming off injury.

Valkyries might be able to figure out a way to keep Thornton even if she's unprotected. So it could be Leite or Zandalasini as the last protected player. Think I'd lean Zandalasini as the final keeper, but not an easy call.

@DanKelly918252 @Z_rating @TurfGuyz They won their conference the last two years. Obviously top programs aren’t going to run the Grinnell offense (although some steal things) but Grinnell does run a system that makes them a threat to win any game.

Just bizarre to me that a coach would play his team that way knowing he is not putting his players in the best position to win. And if he thinks thats the best way, he should’t be coaching

If you find yourself bored at some point, you should consider watching a few minutes of this basketball game. It’s Grinnell (2nd ranked offense and 401st defense in D3 CBB) vs. Greenville (1st ranked offense and 408th defense in D3) Both teams sub 5 new guys in every minute, press every possession, and chuck shots. It feels like there is a full court pass every 30 seconds and neither team plays man defense. Grinnell scored 94 points in the 2nd half going 30-39 from the field. The teams combined for 84 3 pointers attempted. There were a combined 50 turnovers. The worst part is there were 91 free throws shot with 59 combined fouls. Grinnell went 22-4 this year and lost in the first round of the D3 NCAA Tournament. Greenville went 11-15 and lost in their conference tournament quarterfinals.

@ShannonGaitz I don’t think that being able to name family members is necessarily the evidence of a good social game. IMO the social game is how you made people feel, both in getting them to work with you and vote for you. So who am I to tell the jurors who made them feel better?

The gamebotification of #Survivor discourse has gone so far. The social game is often the fabric of the game, but in the wonderfully multifaceted format this is always to varying extents. Savannah couldn't name 5 family members & got 2 of those votes. It was a fair question that exposed a true internal game flaw, but 1 that Savannah had clearly sufficiently overcome in other ways. I love split votes, reads & blindsides more than the next person, but the fact that the fan base will argue against the relevance of connection is alarming #Survivor49

@TheKlenkster @rybrz By early on I mean in his draft year. Schaefer was the consensus by January. But plenty of scouts and teams had him 1OA after the Hlinka.

@philvischer Civility and kindness come as a result of abundance and things being under control. Sadly, kindness towards aggressors is cruelty to victims, and it's gotten so out of hand we can no longer afford a measured response.

ICE agents were hanging out at local schools to grab parents when they came to pickup their kids. Within an hour our community organized to meet the at-risk kids and get them home safely. We can secure the border and manage immigration without being cruel.

@GhostMode125 @ToomsBB_ Not always. What matters is perceived threat level. In Survivor Cambodia Jeremy used Spencer as a shield basically all season and then shut him out.
