I want to create a thread that explains why I am a breakout trader. One of the main things I watch for when trading is market compression and expansion phases. Money is made during periods of expansion and many traders get chopped up while the market is compressing. But if you understand these two phases and how to identify them, it can make a drastic difference in overall profitability.
