@Kiwicossie Ah - what I refer to as the ‘annoying sick’ stage where they are still too sick for school, have likely passed on their lurgy, and are well enough to start to drive you nuts again… lucky you. At least she’s super cute 🤷🏻‍♀️

My child has been sick with a head cold since Saturday. My throat is now sore and I’m in bed. She’s reached the point in her recovery where she’s singing Peanut (the dog) over and over while strumming her ukulele in my bedroom. This morning she sent these. #SendLove #Help

@Kiwicossie Why do they do things like this!? My smallest human drops one piece on the floor (clean - thank goodness) for each piece she uses/drops in the loo… and then just leaves it there!

I found Miss 6 using this much toilet paper to wipe her bum. I got my husband to turn this into a teaching moment. 🤣 I’m not patient enough today. He found the toilet blocked the other day. Please note that this pile is after the appropriate amount of paper was actually used!

@Kiwicossie We’ve been watching this with the kids over the last few weeks… Nico LOVES it (prob the swearing 🤦🏻‍♀️). It’s significantly advanced their knowledge of reproduction… although I had to reassure Nico human penises don’t fall off like bees do 🤣

@Kiwicossie That is a good target! I’ve set a very low one for the year as I’m only just getting back in my reading groove. I’d used to devour books but it totally dropped off after the kids… now they are older I’ve got a bit more reading time back!

My poor mum had heart attack last night. Got taken to hospital in an ambulance. My brother happens to be staying so is taking charge (thank god - it’s normally me). In 3 years my mum has had a stroke, breast cancer, bowel reconstruction & seen my stepdad in major car accident.

Daycare ‘Show and Tell’ theme today is ‘the letter A’. Nico and Dad helped Mila pick out a special item… hopefully the teachers can clear up any confusion when she proudly stands up and says “this is my map book!!” which she insists on calling the lovely kids Atlas she took!

Educational school holiday field trip to the end of our street to learn about Auckland housing intensification and the intricacies of house (well… church! ⛪️) relocation… Will be interesting to see them try move this lot down Rosebank Road!

@Kiwicossie @DrJinRussell Oh that’s awful Amanda… As others say, it could be any number of viral things. Mila gets a sore tummy and is generally unwell at the onset of anything (including when she got RSV, followed by a chest infection last year). I hope you both feel better quickly!

Last night my 5 year old complained of her brain hurting, her throat & tummy sore. Her torso was hot but her legs were cold. Classic Covid symptoms (- test). She was + on 10 March, I avoided but became + 27 April. @DrJinRussell are you seeing much reinfection at the mo? #feelbad

@Kiwicossie Hope you had a wonderful time. We did the ‘trust us’ menu at the kitchen counter last year and loved it! Got lucky enough to be served by Ben Bayly all night too!

Mum’s staying so we’re going to try out Ahi. Very excited but also very tired!

@Kiwicossie Working from home solo is bliss!! I used to enjoy that a couple of days a week, but thanks to Covid its been a rare occurrence lately!

Already have both kids isolating as close contacts from classroom exposures (although attend different education providers). I guess the only bonus is that they are on the same schedule in terms of first exposure/test/release if negative🤞🤞Weekend outing to a test centre it is!
