The vast majority of people on our beautiful planet simply want to LIVE and LOVE in PEACE, free from disrespect and injustice. When disagreements arise, violence doesn't show strength. TRUE STRENGTH is using our power peacefully to help each other hold on to this precious life.

"Remember that working together is humanity's greatest strength." "In a world of rising tensions, the answer is not less cooperation. It is more." "Peace is built together." - Amina J Mohammed Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations on the International Day of Diplomacy
Amina J Mohammed@AminaJMohammed

In a world of rising tensions, the answer is not less cooperation. It is more. On the International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace, this is our call: come to the table, engage in good faith, and remember that working together is humanity's greatest strength. Peace is built together. Now more than ever.

Israel's defense minister just threatened to return Iran "to the Stone Age." Well, here's the rich civilization Iran has built since then – way before Israel even existed:

@FrankAmari2 I agree 100% with the Pope in opposing the death penalty, and I'm an atheist. I never expected that the U.S., which I as a child thought was fairly civilized, would end up in my lifetime executing people by FIRING SQUAD, North Korea style.

As a musician, I honor and feel for the musicians in Iran who are bringing music back into the streets, even amidst the rubble of a music school bombed by the U.S./Israel. Like light venturing through clouds, music is the sound of humanity, peace, creativity, love, and hope.🌤
Al Jazeera English@AJEnglish

Music has replaced the sounds of bombs and missiles as Iranian musicians again perform on city streets and venture to sites devastated in US-Israeli attacks.

@ProfSK5 Yes. My education is in biology. Ten years ago I started volunteering time to help people who appear to be wrongfully accused or convicted. I would review forensic DNA results, seek overlooked evidence to support new legal arguments, and find experts and attorneys to help.

When standing in judgment, seek COMMON ground, not HIGH ground. ALL nations commit wrongs, differing in severity and frequency. Even yours. The U.S. discriminates, convicts the innocent, kills protesters, and executes its people, including by FIRING SQUAD, thanks to Trump.

The US deserves convictions, not cheers, for its war crimes. After Iraq started the Iraq-Iran War (1980-88), the US aided Iraq, knowing it used chemical weapons, and is complicit in the killing of up to 500,000 Iranians, plus 290 more on Iran Air Flight 655 shot down by the US.
Dr.Ata_Mhm@mhm_ata

Sick minds are the plague of humanity. How can anyone fit this much criminality into a single human brain? The proposal of "overwhelming military action, maximum economic pressure, and arming the people" is nothing but a repetition of the deadly mistakes of Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan. History has shown that such approaches do not bring a "fast conclusion"—instead, they produce decades of instability, indirect genocide, and human collapse. America, which claims to champion "democracy" in Iran, first destroyed Iran's democratically elected government of Mossadegh in the 1953 coup, laid the foundations of the Shah's dictatorship, and later armed Saddam Hussein to wage war against Iran. This same America left over one million dead in Iraq using banned weapons, and after 20 years of occupation in Afghanistan, withdrew in humiliation. The systematic crimes of the U.S. government—from bombing hospitals in Mosul to supporting Israel's genocide in Gaza—have made this regime the world's greatest violator of peace and security. The suggestion of "rebuilding Iran after destruction" also recalls the pillaging of Iraq and Syria by American military contractors like Blackwater, who looted countries under the cover of "reconstruction." History is supposed to be your guide, but apparently you have learned nothing from America's successive defeats in Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan. American bombardment itself has been the greatest source of global tyranny over the past 70 years!

My 2 cents on the fastest way to defeat the Iranian regime on our terms Resume overwhelming military action (especially targeting the IRGC and key dual-use infrastructure), along with continued maximum economic pressure AND arm the Iranian people (Reagan Doctrine).  I believe this will bring the war to its fastest conclusion, one way or another (that is, either militarily or by negotiation) and to our country's and the world's benefit.  It will either result in a military victory or a negotiated victory on our terms.  We must NOT fear a conclusive victory.  And, if the regime is eliminated or removed, replaced with a friendly government, we can encourage investment and commerce with Iran that will help rebuild it.  History is my guide.

@Winston11Smith Everyone deserves mercy. Consider: Since 1979, Iran and its proxies have killed 1,000 Americans. But in the IRAQ-IRAN WAR (1980-88) started by Iraq, a U.S. proxy, the U.S. is complicit in the killing of up to 500,000 Iranians, plus 290 more on Iran Flight 655 shot down by the US.

@Winston11Smith True. The video doesn't show the Iranians tortured and slaughtered by their government. A nation's wrongs do not mean it deserves no mercy, no compassion. ALL nations commit wrongs, differing often only in FREQUENCY. (The US kills citizens, imprisons the innocent, executes, etc.)
