Asst. Prof. Grace Liza Y. Concepcion, PhD, will present a lecture titled: “Women and their Property in 17th-Century Philippines” Asst. Prof. Rhodalyn C. Wani-Obias, PhD, will present a lecture titled: “Soliciting Women in the Philippine Inquisition, 1730–1798”

Two faculty members of the UP Department of History will deliver lectures at the upcoming workshop Transpacific Knowledges: Women and the Christian World before 1900, to be held on August 1, 2025, and hosted by the Australian Catholic University (@ACUmedia). #history

Hindi lamang abogado at lingkod bayan si Rafael Palma. Itinuring rin siya ni Teodoro Agoncillo bilang historyador ng kaniyang panahon. Nang siya'y maging pangulo ng Unibersidad ng Pilipinas mula 1925 hanggang 1933, sinuportahan niya ang pagpapaunlad ng agham.

Ang paggunitang ito ay pangungunahan ng UP Kolehiyo ng Agham Panlipunan at Pilosopiya at UP Departamento ng Kasaysayan.

Kasama ang Pambansang Komisyong Pangkasaysayan ng Pilipinas, isang panandang pangkasaysayan ang hahawiin sa kaniyang karangalan sa Bulwagang Palma, Unibersidad ng Pilipinas Diliman, Lungsod Quezon sa nasabing araw sa ganap na ika-8:30 nang umaga.

Sa ika-24 ng Oktubre 2024, Huwebes, ipagdiriwang ng Bayan ang ika-150 anibersaryo ng kapanganakan ni Rafael V. Palma.
