In the darkest moments of my journey over the past few years, I began to wonder how I could possibly overcome being blacklisted and defamed by nearly every international media outlet. With no sponsors or support, I was left with just one friend. My greatest inspiration became Bobby Fischer. If he could defeat the entire Soviet machine on the chessboard without any help, then my own problems seemed smaller by comparison. I immersed myself in his life: reading everything I could, meeting his former friends and bodyguards. Eventually, I got to the core of what made his character so special. At that point, I understood what it takes to become a world champion. I don’t know how long the journey will take, but I’m certain it will happen one day. I’ve overcome too much to stop now. Let this be a reminder to everyone, that no matter what you are dealing with, faith, perseverance, and rising above your detractors is the only solution.

My performance in the last few events has been quite disappointing, not just for me, but for all of you who support me. In order to find my best form my team and I have decided that I should compete with slightly less intensity over the next few months. Consequently, we feel it is in my best interest to skip long events away from home to allow for more dedicated training time. With this in mind, I approached the Grand Chess Tour organizers and asked to play only two European Rapid & Blitz events. They were very supportive and understanding, and we agreed that I would participate in the Rapid & Blitz tournaments in Warsaw and Zagreb this year. I’m very grateful for their support. Respectfully, I am not planning to play any other events during the Grand Chess Tour schedule and will certainly be back for the full Grand Chess Tour in the future".

My favorite quote from Atomic Habits by James Clear: "It doesn't make sense to continue wanting something if you're not willing to do what it takes to get it. If you don't want to live the lifestyle, then release yourself from the desire. To crave the result but not the process is to guarantee disappointment."

Looks promising. The dev team obv would've studied causes of prev failure of games in these genres (Friday the 13th, TCM) - so I hope they can make the game interesting enough for it to become as lively as DBD.

This paragraph by Richard Feynman hits so hard: “Fall in love with some activity, and do it! Nobody ever figures out what life is all about, and it doesn’t matter. Explore the world. Nearly everything is really interesting if you go into it deeply enough. Work as hard and as much as you want to on the things you like to do the best. Don’t think about what you want to be, but what you want to do. Keep up some kind of a minimum with other things so that society doesn’t stop you from doing anything at all.”

The best way you can ever repay your parents is by giving them nothing to worry about when it comes to you. You’re not on drugs, you’re doing the right things, you’re living a healthy lifestyle, you’re taking care of your responsibilities. That’s the best thing you can do ever do for your parents.

Didn't get enough impressions on January 27? Post it again, slightly modified. Well done on getting over a million impressions at the expense of portraying the chess world as a toxic environment for women. The man who wrote this email is clearly not from the chess world. He doesn't understand the difference between a FIDE-rated event and a casual one. FIDE rules don't apply to casual ones. Using an email like this to portray chess as a toxic place for women is misleading. I'm not going to speak on behalf of women and how they feel in the chess world. But this post's intention is not to bring awareness. It is view farming, and she has done a great job.

There has been a lot of misinformation about what happened at the Sinquefield Cup and the events that followed. Because of the upcoming Netflix documentary, there were limits to what I could publicly say until now. With the documentary about to be released, it’s time to set the record straight. Over the past couple of years, Joe Rogan and others have discussed the situation many times, often without a clear understanding of what actually happened. Given how extensively Rogan has talked about it, I believe it’s especially important that I have the opportunity to go on his podcast and address it directly. I’m planning on going on a podcast tour to make sure the truth reaches the world. Please share this, and feel free to recommend podcasts you think I should go on.
