@JasonLFields Exactly, difficult time between the end of the season, signing day done and the portal opening. We’re just going to have to be patient this year, accept it’s a necessary first step in order to build an identity from the staff which should reap rewards down the line

@ViewFromTheBlue I think everybody is gonna be really happy with this new staff. The problem is they were hired very late into the game so they’re trying to build relationships with the current team at the moment plus try to get portal guys. They’re working hard, and it’ll eventually pay off

Exceptions to every rule, however I was a real fan of Harbaugh’s 1 time transfer approach. I can see the need for a window of opportunity for coaching change too, but entering the portal to hold a School at ransom to pay up just seems ridiculous. Transformative not transactional

It’s hard not have sentiment like the below. It pretty much ruins everything that was great about recruiting. Is there even any point focusing heavily on a HS class, for most to demand more $ or leave the following year? Serious controls are needed.

@MaizeNBlueTrue It’s going to be a shock for some I think. Indiana are setting the standard going for and securing guys like Marsh. Reality is we’re probably going to get guys from Utah/BYU that the staff know, but convincing the rest as a new coaching group is a tough gig.

I’m convinced we literally might only get 1-3 pieces of out the portal and that’s absolutely fucking devastating
