@briggityboppity @W0ESOFWEDNESDAY The air gets dry yes but the condensation around windows is the issue because cold side meets warm side And that is what causes mould especially around windows if not wiped clean or use the dehumidifier

Do europeans without AC run dehumidifiers instead when its hot and humid or does everything just stay moist

@briggityboppity We're the opposite! Any holes and gaps are filled with rubble basically. So if you try get a drill bit through for a TV aerial you're fighting with loose stones etc falling down.. the new builds aren't like that but if never live in one!

@W0ESOFWEDNESDAY Oh that makes sense, most of the houses here are built with a cinderblock foundation which have holes in them so there would be more air flow to dry things out

@briggityboppity If you look at a 1800s terraced house in my town the main foundation brick is probably nearly 2 feet thick. In summer those bricks stay warm and dry inside but in winter the cold and damp set in. they never get the chance to dry because of how dense they are! It's a big problem

@W0ESOFWEDNESDAY A few people have said this and its really interesting because the air gets so dry where I am in the winter, only time of year I have to moisturize, but summer molds everything if you don't control the humidity
