Very proud of WHYY staff for standing up and demanding better wages, expanded diversity initiatives, paid leave, protections from AI, and more

In the three years since @WHYYunion won their first contract, 50% of union staff have left – including me and many of my closest colleagues – thanks largely to hostile management Despite that, WHYY management is stonewalling our successors – again – on a new contract. Shame.

.@WHYY has seen over 50% employee turnover from our first contract, and 55% of the SAG-AFTRA union has under 5 years of service to WHYY. Mgmt has made it clear it has no intention of improving quality of life for employees. WHYY Union refuses to remain complacent. #WeMakeWHYY
