🚨 Geolocation of the Pakistani airstrikes in Kabul A video circulated by Pakistani sources appears to show two explosions following strikes on a military compound, reportedly in Kabul. After carefully analysing it, I geolocated the footage that corresponds to the largest military compound in the Pul-e-Charkhi area, east of Kabul, adjacent to the Kabul–Nangarhar road. Both impacts appear to have struck elongated, hangar-like structures within the compound perimeter. Coordinates: 📍 North explosion: 34.561032, 69.367823 📍 Southeast explosion: 34.564363, 69.369704

Afghan Taliban response was highly likely this week, after Pakistani airstrikes on Afghan soil several days ago. Heavy fighting reported along the border region.

New crisis just dropped. US sources indicate that the vessel was not naval or Coast Guard; Cuban government claims boat passengers opened fire first. Per @nytimes boat may have been part of a civilian flotilla to "get relatives out of Cuba".
