@dblackgh is the 1st Ghanaian artist to sign a male act , a music producer / dj , female act to his label Black Avenue Muzik and to win multiple awards with them while active in music (signed Joey B in 2012 - 2013 VGMA New Artiste of the Year) , (signed Dj Breezy in 2013 - VGMA 2015 Music Producer of the Year), (signed Sefa in 2018 - VGMA 2022 Afrobeats Song of the Year)

@DBLACKGH is the first Ghanaian musician to successfully own 3 hospitality entities, a nightclub - Club Onyx / icon, a lounge - Oasis Lounge and a restaurant - La Maison Restaurant for a decade whilst actively being an artist himself and running other businesses including a record label, events company and advertising firm.

@dblackgh is the first Ghanaian Rapper to be nominated for the @BETAwards in the history of the award scheme. In 2011 D-Black was nominated in the category of Best International Act - Africa and attended the award show in Los Angeles. Losing out to Nigerian pop acts D’Banj & Baba , he was nominated with Angelique Kidjo and Fally Ipupa from Congo. He also kicked off the infamous BET Hiphop Cypher focused on Ghana that same year with fellow Ghanaian acts Legend Reggie Rockstone, Tinny, Sarkodie, Edem and more.

@DBLACKGH is the first Ghanaian rapper to perform and win at the prestigious Channel O Music Awards in Johannesburg South Africa. D-Black performed in 2012 at the Channel O Awards with Wyre from Kenya and Kwela Thebza from South Africa. The following year D-Black beat Wizkid, P Square, Naeto C , Sarkodie to win West African Act of the Year following his ‘The Revelation’ Album in Johannesburg, South Africa.
