$NOW got absolutely punished after earnings, and the entire software tape went red with it. But when I look through the quarter, I don’t see a broken company. I see a high-quality enterprise software compounder that just got repriced hard because expectations were too high, margins are temporarily messy, and investors are terrified that AI is going to disrupt every seat-based software model. The actual numbers were still very strong. Revenue: $3.77B, +22% YoY. Subscription revenue: $3.67B, +22% YoY. cRPO: $12.64B, +22.5% YoY. Total RPO: $27.7B, +25% YoY. Customers spending $5.0M+ in ACV: 630, +22% YoY. Net new $5.0M+ ACV deals: 16, up nearly 80% YoY. Now Assist customers spending $1.0M+ in ACV: +130% YoY. That is not what demand destruction looks like. The market is focused on the negatives: softer near-term cRPO guide, margin pressure from Armis, some delayed Middle East deals, and the big existential AI question hanging over all of software. Fair. Those risks are real. But the bull case is that ServiceNow is not just another SaaS seat model. It is becoming a workflow, automation, security, data, and AI orchestration layer for large enterprises. If AI agents are going to actually do work inside companies, they need context, permissions, governance, process logic, and integration into existing systems. That is exactly where ServiceNow sits. The company also raised full-year subscription revenue guidance, despite the market treating the quarter like a disaster. The Armis acquisition pressures margins now, but it expands the security TAM and could make the platform more strategic over time. This is what makes $NOW interesting here: the stock is being priced like growth is structurally impaired, while the business is still compounding subscription revenue above 20%, expanding large enterprise relationships, and showing early AI monetization that is actually material. Could the stock remain weak? Absolutely. Software sentiment is awful, we saw that other companies like $ADBE, $CRM, $SAP got punished hard too, valuation still matters, and the market is no longer willing to pay any price for durable growth. But after this reset, the risk/reward is finally getting much more interesting. A year ago, ServiceNow was treated like a flawless compounder. Today, it is being treated like an AI casualty. The truth is probably somewhere in between and if ServiceNow proves that AI increases the value of its platform instead of replacing it, this selloff may end up looking like a very attractive entry point in hindsight. Not advice, but $NOW is now firmly back on my watchlist.
