compared to other project groups that extended their contract, 9 doesn't seem to have that much leverage yet. after all, it's still so incredibly early into their career as a group. so, i doubt they gained anything beneficial from those contract negotiations.

I hope this is code for "we are negotiating buying out existing contracts for several members".
