@antepedium Except when he called the peasants to revolt against the nobles, and then the nobles to slaughter the peasants.... but ok.

Luther is the most striking example of the "And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved".

It is unfortunate that certain theological discussions have not been kept to be amongst clergy, and are ventilated in such unhealthy places as facebook and X. Now that the cat is out of the bag, it seems there is no option but to engage, but to those (specially thesis) clergy, who insist on preaching theories of theology instead of things that are more useful to the general people, one would beg: let's keep those discussions for the clergy, or those members of the laity who approach you with questions. You don't discuss brain surgery in the local market. And yes, I do it too.

@catholicpat There are several Novus Ordo parishes in my city. Apparently, the Priests give the body of Christ to whoever, even if dressed immoraly, or re-married, or in scandalous sodomy, in the hand, careless of the particles or the reception they make of the Son of God made man.

There's a schismatic trad parish in my town Apparently, the priest interviews you before he lets you receive communion I would never do it but...I think I could pass the test

I would agree that we should not take anything in the most uncharitable way possible. And I agree that tends to happen in traditional circles (as in other places). But don't fail to see, that the agenda is NOT to call for conversion to Christianity. That is quite obvious. And these words are often not ambiguous at all. God Bless! I hope you get better.

Hes not ignoring it at all he's also just not trying to fan the flames for more persecution and murder. While also condemning and decaying the violence. If a sede priest said that violence against Christians is evil and we should hope for peace youd retweet it a hundred times. But the pope says something good and it has to be taken in the most uncharitable light possible. That's what I cant stand.

Can Muslims and Christians live together in peace?

Of course no one expects the Pope to go out warmongering and there is nothing wrong with advocating for Muslims to provide freedom of religion for Christians. But you will notice that IS NOT happening, and we just hear that very little and now and then... if at all. There is a serious lack of TRUE charity, when the vicar of Christ tells billions in a false sect: "your mosque is a place proper to God". instead of preaching to them, (even to the cost of his life) "Christ is the way the truth and the life, and there is NO salvation in the Muslim religion."

Nowhere did I claim all Muslims were peaceful. I said militarily they weren't a threat to the west until terroristic groups were funded by America and Israel. In their own lands there have always been violent sects of them and persecution but that doesnt refute my argument that there have been times and locations where there has been peace. Theres nothing wrong with the pope, after decaying atrocities committed against Christians, to call for Muslims in Muslim majority lands to give the Church more liberty and for an attempt at a peaceful coexistence.

@jarldietrich Dear Dietrich: I say this in all charity. consider that your prolific activity online is indeed a form of ministry, that you are exercising without the proper graces of state. Souls led to error through your publications will be your direct responsability on judgment day.

How come you didn't need to "re-explain" "de-explain", "reword-re-explain" the documents of the Church before Vatican II... but after that every document needs more exegesis and commentary that the darkest passages of the Apocalypse? (including the council itself)

@jarldietrich "Communion between Christians and muslims take shape under the mantle of our Lady" Leo XIV. tweeted by him just now... I wonder how our Lady feels about the fact that Islam denies the divinity of her Son. Some communion!

Dear Dietrich: in all charity: since you are Novus Ordo: do you accept that "hinduism leads to contact with the divine", "Budhism leads to perfect liberation and supreme ilumination"? if not, can you provide ONE catholic author that says you are allowed to reject a true council?

@jarldietrich Dietrich: 1- The intention is not the elect a Pope at the moment. 2- I don't think you can pull one single book that says that those who elect a Pope need to have jurisdiction? i'm interested. 3- Universal acceptance is only an opinion, never been a part of the Magisterium.

@Pontifex The "Pope" should know that "redistribution" of wealth is a communist and Socialist buzz-word for "steal the money" from the wealthy. The Catholic teaching is not "redistribution" but fair markets and pay, LESS GLOBALIZATION, and more works of charity.

Hundreds of millions of people throughout the world are immersed in extreme poverty. Yet, disproportionate wealth remains in the hands of a few. It is an unjust scenario, in the face of which we cannot fail to question ourselves and commit to change things. There is no lack of resources at the root of disparities, but the need to address solvable problems related to a more equitable distribution of wealth, to be achieved with moral sense and honesty.

To those who reject Bishop Roi's proposal: I think you'd be required to tell us another option for a solution. And why it would be ill-advised to meet to simply talk about it. Reminder: that's how the western Schism ended.

Congratulations to all the traditional catholic Priests, ordained by valid Bishops in the millennial rite of the church, who still keep the faith and fully (and without apology) reject the heresies of Vatican II and its heresiarchs! the Church remains in these Bishops and Priests
