Varsity Boys Tennis won the OAA White tournament today, successfully defending its 2024 league title. Flight championships were earned by 2S Evan Geisz, 3S Nate Keller, 4S Kamy Shushtari, 2D Conner Sanderson & Kiyan Shushtari, and 3D David Richardson & Sam Yerian. @CTownAthletic

Today concluded a PERFECT week for the Wolves -- in two tournaments and two league matches we didn't lose a flight, going 69-0 and bringing home 2 trophies and 25 medals. Next week the stakes get higher, as we aim to defend our title as League Champions. @CTownAthletic

The Clarkston Tennis Family got a tiny bit bigger on Tuesday with the birth of Caroline Claus. Baby Caroline came home today and is pleasantly dreaming of another trip to the Finals for the Wolves in October! #ClarkstonTennis

Grandma Murph was in her late 60s before any of her 10 kids or 30 grandkids could beat her, and became a local celebrity in Chicago when she was still competing at age 90. nbcchicago.com/news/local/Gra… She passed away today, 2 days short of her 99th birthday.

From Coach Claus... I said goodbye today to my all-time favorite tennis player: Grandma Mary Jane Murphy. I fondly recall that after playing 2-3 sets, she would have a drink by filling an empty tennis ball can from a drinking fountain and then suggest we play another set or two.
