One thing that I think people are missing about the portal is that a lot of players are sent into the portal by their coaches, often because they’re not good enough to help them win. The assumption is, it’s players leaving by choice, that’s often not the case.

@DaHoops_Junkie Agree UConn is definitely the powerhouse but I also want to remind people that UConn didn’t win a chip for 9 years. UConn just recently got back on top, yes they’ve always been close and made it past the sweet 16 and to some final fours but they haven’t been victorious in awhile.

The transfer portal has screwed up college sports.
My bill is simple: you get 5 consecutive years to play 5 seasons and you get 1 transfer.
After that, if you transfer again, you sit out a year.
This will fix 80% of the issues in NIL today.
