Reflecting on #LabourConference24, we're excited about what we heard in the PM's speech yesterday - especially the potential of 'foundation apprenticeships' to bridge the gap between education and employment for more of the young people who need it most.

A statement from our CEO, Barry Fletcher, on the recent violence across the UK. "Youth Futures Foundation condemns the racially motivated intimidation and violence continuing to escalate across the country targeted at Muslims, refugees and other communities. "The experiences of minoritized ethnic communities are at the heart of our work and we are proud to work with so many partners and communities across the country to help enable a more equitable society for the future generation. We stand with all those affected and are sending strength, care and support."

The events of the last week have been nothing short of deplorable. The far-right, racist & Islamophobic violence that we've seen on our streets and online has no place in our society. We stand in solidarity with the migrant & minoritised communities who have been targeted. 1/3

The report highlights the importance of "what jobs are available, in what working conditions: whether people are able to get employment, & whether that employment is secure, rewarding, flexible and well paid." But access to good work in the UK isn't fair - that's why we're here.
