With sadness we received the news, that Salih Muslim, a politician, patriot and defender of his people's rights has passed away. In the face of women’s quest for freedom, he demonstrated his respect for life through his steadfastness and became a true comrade of women. 1/2

On the anniversary of the March 12 uprising, people remember the cry for freedom that rose from Qamishlo in 2004. It exposed oppressive policies and proved that the will of the people is stronger than repression and division. The struggle for dignity and freedom continues.

Ali Larijani Threatens Coalition of Kurdish Parties After the killing of Ali Khamenei, Ali Larijani said in an interview that, without directly naming any specific group, he accused Iranian Kurdish parties of “separatism” and used threatening language, saying the armed forces are ready to respond firmly. From the perspective of many Kurdish activists, these remarks are a continuation of the same security-focused and military approach toward Kurdish political and civil rights demands—demands that have often been labelled as separatism. This statement comes after he had also reacted to the formation of a coalition of Kurdish parties and warned that in the future, he would confront them with an army he claims he will form. For many Kurds, the similar tone used by political figures with different backgrounds shows a continuing centralised mindset that sees the demands of non-Persian nationalities not as political rights, but as security threats.

PJAK Leadership Member Stresses Kurdish Unity in Iran’s Future Developments Rêwar Awdanan, a member of the leadership committee of the Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK), said in a special interview with Roj News Agency @soranirojnews that Kurdish unity is very important in the current sensitive situation in the Middle East, especially after the Coalition formed between five parties from Rojhelat. At the beginning of his remarks, he said that a kind of global war is taking place, centered in the Middle East, and the major powers that control the region will be forced to make fundamental changes. In this situation, an opportunity has been created for the Kurdish people to establish their political position in a new Middle East. Awdanan added that the guarantee for protecting the Kurdish people is national unity. If the Kurds do not want to face tragedies like those of the past 100 years, they must strengthen their internal unity. In this way, political parties will be forced to adopt a national discourse and act according to the interests of the Kurdish people. He also said that the Islamic Republic of Iran will not remain as it is and will have to change. He stated that if the Kurdish people remain silent about the killings taking place in the cities of Rojhelat, then any regime that comes to power in Tehran in the future will repeat the same actions. Therefore, the fate of the Kurds is one and cannot be separated. If this becomes the main principle of their political approach, they can protect themselves and develop a clear strategy. Any nation that is divided cannot have a strong strategy. In another part of the interview, Awdanan said that the people supported the unity of the political parties, calling it an important step and a new beginning. Through this unity, a common strategy for Rojhelat has been formed, which can define the Kurdish position during changes in Iran. He claimed that some Iranian opposition groups have a negative attitude toward the Kurds and Kurdish parties and have even threatened to attack PJAK and other Kurdish parties if they take power. He said that this unity is the best response to such views and the best way to protect Kurdish achievements in the future of Iran. He added that they seek to promote a democratic republic in Iran where the Kurdish people will have a recognized place. In conclusion, he said that any party that tries to use the people as a tool will be rejected by them. The same applies to East Kurdistan. If democracy and people’s self-administration are not at the center of political activities, those parties will not succeed. He emphasized that if the Kurdish people continue to be active in politics and if the unity between political forces serves the people’s demands, then under any future political system in Iran, the Kurds will be able to secure their rights and achievements. rojnews.news/?p=672481

📌Journalists in Raqqa Unaccounted For – Immediate Clarification Required The lack of communication with Kurdistana Azad contributor and Özgür TV presenter Ahmed Polad, along with international journalist Eva Maria Michelmann (Tekoşin), who were present in the city during assault of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) on Raqqa, has caused grave concern. Ahmed Polad, a member of the Free Press Union (YRA), is known to have transmitted video reports from a building under intense attack in order to inform the public. It is reported that the two journalists, who became targets for documenting and conveying the realities on the ground, have been taken captive by HTS, and their whereabouts remain unknown. Any attempt to silence, detain, or target journalists constitutes a clear violation of international law. Even in situations of armed conflict, the safety and security of journalists must be guaranteed in accordance with international legal standards. We issue the following urgent call: •The fate and whereabouts of Ahmed Polad and Eva Maria Michelmann must be immediately disclosed. •Their safety must be ensured and they must be released without delay. •International press freedom and human rights organizations must urgently engage in this matter.
