You know, people probably wouldn’t find these changes so annoying if the people behind them weren’t being absolutely insufferable about it. There’d be justified misgivings, but now you just poured gasoline onto the flame. I want to see this being said if a woman character is changed to a man, btw. If you’re gonna be this way then surely you have an egalitarian view on it, right? Or maybe you make these statements because you know the opposite won’t happen.

Because Rae wasn’t really a character in the comics while TJ pretty much has his own series and history so fans like myself just wanted to see him adapted properly. The fact they swapped him to probably just be a love interest makes it worse.
