This week we welcomed Vince Reddick from Buteline to the Box Twenty office to deliver a CPD on the Buteline Plumbing System. The session provided a great overview of the system, including its key features, installation considerations, and applications within modern plumbing systems. It was great to have members of the team attending in person, with others joining the session online. Box Twenty had an incredible experience at the UWE Bristol Careers Fair 2026! It was fantastic to connect with a diverse and talented group of students and graduates, and to share insights into careers in engineering, consultancy, and project delivery. It was inspiring to hear students’ ambitions and career aspirations, and we’re excited about the potential to support the next generation of engineers and consultants. A huge thank you to the The Students'​ Union at UWE for organising such a well-run event and for creating an environment where students and employers could engage meaningfully. We’re really proud to share that two projects Box Twenty worked on have been longlisted for the 2026 MacEwen Award, which celebrates architecture that delivers real social value and contributes to the common good. Being recognised among 23 projects with such a strong civic focus is a genuine honour. Guide Dogs Regional Centre designed by Kay Elliott Architects for the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association. This BREEAM Excellent-accredited regional training centre brings together multiple strands of the Guide Dogs service into one cohesive, purpose-built facility. Set within a sensitive greenbelt location, the project carefully balances best-practice sustainability with the needs of staff, volunteers, and service users, creating an inclusive, highly functional environment that supports life-changing work. Worcester Community Skills Projects, Worcestershire designed by Askew Cavanna Architects for Worcester Community Trust and Worcester City Council. This ambitious programme renovates five community centres and delivers a new Construction Skills and Green Technology Training Centre. Located in areas of highest educational and economic need, the project places community engagement at its heart, transforming local facilities into vital skills hubs that support training, opportunity, and long-term regeneration. Both projects reflect values we care deeply about at Box Twenty: collaboration, sustainability, and using the built environment as a tool for positive social impact.
